Join us for the last island event in our Makers' Table series—an intimate evening where exceptional food, remarkable wine and Island Crafted beer come together in conversation.

Hosted on the rooftop of Straddie Brewing Co. overlooking Moreton Bay, each Makers' Table welcomes a celebrated guest Maker to collaborate with our own team of artisans.

For the last of our island events this year, we're delighted to welcome Abby Heslop, Winemaker & Head Brewer at Witches Falls Winery | Boxer Brewery, alongside our Head Brewer Andrew Sydes.

Chef Alex Stapleton has created an exclusive four-course seasonal degustation, with every dish thoughtfully paired twice—once with a Tom Foolery wine selected by Ben and once with an Island Crafted Straddie beer chosen by Andrew.

Throughout the evening, Alex, Abby and Andrew will share the inspiration behind each course and pairing, inviting guests into a conversation about flavour, craftsmanship and the stories that shape every glass.

Price: $149 per person

Alex Stapleton

Head Chef, Straddie Brewing Co.

Alex's seasonal menu forms the heart of the evening, celebrating exceptional produce with dishes designed to showcase both wine and beer in equal measure.

Abby Heslop

Winemaker & Brewer, Witches Falls Wines | Boxer Brewing, Mt Tambourine

A qualified winemaker with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology, she chose to follow her passion for brewing, building an impressive career from Brisbane to California and the UK before returning home to Queensland as Head Brewer at Boxer Brewing Co. Raised at Witches Falls Winery and inspired by both vineyards and brewhouses, Abby brings a unique perspective to flavour, fermentation and craftsmanship.

Andrew Sydes

Head Brewer, Straddie Brewing Co.

With over a decade of brewing experience, Andrew pairs each course with Straddie beers that demonstrate just how beautifully craft beer can sit alongside fine dining.
